Hi. My name is Joseph Bennett, but you can call me Seph.
I've been an artist my entire life: writing, drawing, painting, performing, playing music... but making movies is my one true calling. I love telling visual stories, and I'm lucky to do it for a living.
After years of shooting short films and promotional videos for community events, I earned my BA in Film and Video from Columbia College Chicago, receiving school-wide and city-wide awards and accolades. I was hired as an instructor, teaching video production at both Robert Morris University and Bradley University, and was a Multimedia Journalist at WEEK-TV News 25 in Peoria, IL, essentially creating short-form documentaries: writing, shooting, editing, and reporting stories under tight deadlines every day. I loved the work and the people, and I was ready for a solo venture that allowed greater creativity and the freedom to tell the stories that interest me most.
I now lend my talent and passion for videography to those seeking professional, affordable, broadcast-quality videos without the hassle or expense of a large studio. Excellent videos don't need to be expensive; they need an excellent videographer with a vision. I'm a visual thinker, an award-winning writer, and a college educated filmmaker with a concentration in writing and directing. In short, I do it all.
